Pedro, the ombre chair

DSC 0777 Pedro, the ombre chair

Does this chair looks familiar to you? Well, possibly… because it used to  look like this..

 Pedro, the ombre chair

and before that, like this..

 Pedro, the ombre chair

This was another Goodwill find, long, long time ago..bought it home, painted it blue, and listed for

sale…and then  it just sat there..and sat some more..and as the time went by, I realized that wasn’t my

style anymore…and since it hasn’t sold, I thought why not give it another makeover.

..I have changed with each piece of furniture that I painted, and still looking to perfect my style..

I love glossy shiny vibrant colors, but I also like rustic, primitive, heavily distressed  pieces..in a

dog world, I am probably a mutt..

My  inspiration for this chair was this love seat from Anthropologie..

I thought is going to be a long, time consuming process..and it totally wasn’t..

I just sanded off the blue, primed it really good, and sprayed it..no tape, no measuring involved…

I just knew where the green needed to end and the white to start and I went free style on it..

I used Rustoleum Painters Touch in White and Green Apple and finished with a high gloss clear coat from the same brand..

Technically, I am not sure if it qualifies as an ombre, but who cares, I had to much fun with it and I am so hunting for some more chairs like this..I have two different other colors that are waiting to be used..

Love it, girl! It's vibrant and glossy! Will you try to sell, or keeping for yourself? And that's the beauty of thrift store furniture: you can paint and repaint all you like!!!

Inspired work! I’m in love with Ombre…in the process of getting a wicker bookcase ready to do it to!! Curb-side collection so it’s a bit grubby…letting it dry in the hot Sydney sun:)
