I really am..,One day I was playing with some paint cards, and I came across this color, called Banana Yellow by Benjamin Moore..and like a color junkie me, I said, why not…let’ just paint something yellow..And that’s how Scarlett was born..
By far, this was absolutely the hardest color to photograph..In some pictures, it looked neon yellow, in others, more green-ish, but i think the picture bellow is the closes the natural color..
..since the color makes such a bold statement, I decided to tone it down a little by adding some wallpaper detail onto the drawers, and keeping the same color tone for the knobs..
I have to admit that after two coats of paint, I stopped, looked back at it, and started to wonder if I made the right choice..color wise..but after seeing how well the wallpaper and the knobs came together, I knew it was..I also did a little bit of distressing, not to much, and mostly around the edges..
so probably you are seeing yellow by now too…and you are suddenly craving banana’s…I know, that is called Scarlett side effect..but do not worry, it is totally treatable..

I took the mirror down so that I can fit it into my SUV, and I forgot to attach it back for the picture…oh well..
