Meet Audrey
She is one lovely antique desk/vanity, I think she can be used either way..She also has a little baby, that I will probably introduce to you sometimes next week… This is one awesome classic piece of furniture, made by Kling..When I started to work on this piece, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep the original hardware…I kept going back and forth for about a week…and I chose to change them..I envisioned something classic and modern in the same time, and when I found these knobs, I knew they will be a great match..
The pictures below probably reflect the color best, my camera had a hard time capturing this one..maybe it is time to upgrade to a more professional camera? It is painted in Exotic Red by Benjamin Moore, and finished with polyurethane from the same brand. Even though it is a Low Lustre, I still think that it came out pretty glossy, which I totally dig…she totally stands out, and I found myself staring at it quite a few times…
Why Audrey you might wonder? Because It reminded me of Audrey Hepburn, beautiful, classic and elegant
I like to pick names for my furniture pieces, as I think of them as my little wooden friends..each piece has its own story to tell..

i love her! so gorgeous! thanks for linking up last week! hope to see you again!
I shared a red paint project myself this week as well. It's such a bold and fun color. I like the way it modernized this vintage table. I am using something similar as a writing desk next to my bed, in place of a nightstand. It was originally a console table, but it works great in its new life!
Oh wow, that color with those lines and the great knobs! FAB.U.LOUS!
And I love that you named her.
I have a habit of that myself (though not just with furniture).
And I would LOVE it if you'd share this at Feature Friday FREE-FOR-ALL going on right now!

Deny, I LOVE the color of this desk! The red is such a fun color. Great job!
Gorgeous piece & color!
This piece turned out soooo pretty!
Gorgeous! Love this style and color! We custom painted one of these last summer and I was a little disappointed when she said she wanted it white. LOL!
Thanks Amanda! I tend to go overboard with color, white is ok for some pieces, but I think some just need to little something extra to show off it's curves
Adorei o trabalho – maravilhoso!!! Congratulation!!!!!
Nancy Capdeville Werneck
I keep coming back to this gorgeous piece!! Love it – love it – love it!!

This color really stood out as a possibility for a vanity small chest of drawers with a mirror; but I wasn’t positive. Then I thought…”Exotic Red”…I like the color. Then you mentioned Audrey Hepburn and I was instantly sold.
We are so silly when it comes to choosing colors. Thanks for blogging and sharing. I’m off to go get a paint sample. =)
You will love the color! I wasn’t so sure about it when I bought it, but after the first coat, I was like, OMG this is amazing! I hope you will share pictures when it’s done!
