Today, I want to share a small console table transformation. This table was one of my very few Craigslist finds.. call me a chicken, but I am not always very comfortable about buying on CG..However, if something really cheap, and great comes along, I try to conquer my fear, and I go for it. This table was one of those things that come along, and when you look at the picture, all you think about is, I need to save this piece. Same thing happened with this little one…it was over exposed in the sun, the wood had dried, and you could clearly see where it was glued together…the top veneer was coming off but otherwise, in a good structural condition..
It took me a few days for the design to come together.. I knew I wanted something cute, and chic, and different for this table..I am a little bit obsessed with color red, so that is exactly what I chose for it..and then, I thought some stripes will add a little more of that “it” factor to ..Well, that didn’t really go as planed, because the stripes were suppose to come out grey, and the paint just didn’t want to cooperate..I did use Frog Tape for the stripes, and I was stunned of how easy was to use it, the quality of it, and it worked like a charm…
I really liked the paper print impression of the drawer inside, so I didn’t even try to cover it with liner..So maybe you wonder by now, why the name? Well, when my brother walked in and saw it, he said, wait, this looks like a Mustang!

The stripes are amazing! And your flower knob is the perfect touch!
That table looks amazing. It doesn't even look the same. You have a good eye because that table was not very attractive. The color with the white stripe is something you don't see a lot and it looks soooo good.
Thank you so much!
