I am very excited about two new pieces that I picked up at an auction this week. It was my first auction, and I felt a little bit overwhelmed…but all is well when it ends well, and I got to bring home my Nr.2 and Nr.3…
…I already have ideas running through my head, and I am super super excited to start working on them..Hopefully I can get some work done this weekend..

Have a fun Thursday!

I like that dresser! I think I have seen on your Twitter icon that you have already painted it? You should come back to this post and link it up so that people can find the "AFTER" post. I can't wait to see it!

Oh I am glad you like it. That one was one of the first ones I painted and never linked it to a party or anything. And my blog was just starting, and didnt had to much traffic. I think I will totally do it now! Thank you!

Hi, can you tell me how much the furniture pieces cost you at a auction? I have been wanting to attend an auction and wondered if you get good prices.
    Thank you

Hi Debbie! Auctions for me its like gambling, you might get lucky, you might not. I set up a limit for myself, and I am trying to not go over it. In the beggining, I would get emotioanlly attached and there were a few instances I paid more for a piece that I should’ve. I would rather come home empty handed than overpay. I would say that for a nightstand, the most I paid was $25, and only because it was in good condition, and for a dresser I try to stay around $80. It also depends on the condition the piece is in, what is the auction premium, and the potential that the piece has.
